Someone from the farm is required to be on-site for at least the first meter on all mobile 

calibrations.

$2.50/row additional charge if we must clean out last season’s seed from the hoppers.

Inspection

Advanced - Full visual w/ all applicable electronic health checks (requires grower to have tractor and planter hooked up)

Basic - Full visual inspection on all planter components (requires planter to be fully accessible)

Any inspection done without a meter calibration includes a meter inspection.

Any inspection done without a meter calibration or meter inspection will be a $5.00/row discount.

Meter Recommendations

All meters should be inspected every year.

Meters should be calibrated as on the following schedule. All acres are row acres (total planter acres/number of planter rows).

Precision Planting eSet     1 Year or 100 ac.

Precision Planting vSet          2 Years or 250 ac.

John Deere Pro40*           1 Year 

John Deere 30 Cell*         1 Year

Case               1 Year or 100 ac.

Finger Meters**       1 Year

*Meters with John Deere 30 Cell plates and even a few Pro40 meters have no adjustment other than vacuum. Therefore, every seed change is subject to needing ground speed or vacuum adjustment. We encourage our customers that are running these meters to either change them out for newer technology, add double eliminators to the meter if Pro40, or order one specific seed size and shape. If ordering one seed size, please have that seed available for us when we calibrate so we can set the meter to that specific seed.
